The BATIDRAIN is a rigid flat-bottom drain D90 with a resistance greater than 4 kN/m².
Specifically designed for foundation drainage, it meets all the criteria allowing it to comply with NF P16-379.
Easily handled (2 or 2.5ml bar), it is laid according to DTU 20.1 with gravel and geotextile.
It should be noted that ATE has developed the version of BATIDRAIN, coated with a fiber allowing installation without gravel and without geotextile, under technical opinion and certified QB -68-01-317: the BATIFIBRE.
Foundation drainage: what are the standards?
A house’s drainage system must guarantee the long-term reliability and durability of excess water removal under and around the building. BATIDRAIN, with its traditional high-quality PVC construction, is a rigid, flat-bottomed PVC drain (D90) specifically designed for residential drainage. Combined with waterproofing and a waterproofing membrane, this drain ensures efficient removal of excess water and enhanced protection against rising damp.
For the drainage system to be sustainable and meet legal requirements, the drain must:
- Compliant with DTU 20.1 with traditional installation on gravel and geotextile
- Comply with standard NF P 16-379
- Having a mechanical resistance SN4
- Not to be white or yellow
- Having a perforation area greater than 40 cm² per linear meter
Important: Agricultural drains and drainage pipes have therefore been prohibited for foundation drainage since 2020. However, today more than 60% of installations do not comply with DTU 20.1.
BATIDRAIN: the benchmark for foundation drainage in traditional installation
BATIDRAIN, with its superior characteristics, fully complies with the application standard of DTU 20.1 and the product standard NF P 16-379. Its traditional installation is carried out in a bed of washed, rounded aggregates. This drain and gravel assembly must be surrounded by a geotextile suitable for the soil type.
- The BATIDRAIN is a flat channel drain, which facilitates drainage compared to a traditional corrugated drain. Its flat bottom allows for better water flow.
- A range of adapter sleeves completes the installation, allowing for changes in direction and facilitating system maintenance via a cleaning chimney. These accessories and installations ensure the durability of the drainage system and simplify maintenance.
BATIDRAIN is one of the few drainage products accepted by DTU 20.1. This drain designed by ATE therefore guarantees efficient drainage, without risk of failure of the device in the short or medium term.
